A warm cup of hot chocolate can make any winter day better, but in Autumn, it’s a match made in heaven. Grab a book, curl up next to a fire, and sip some cocoa. Or, if you’re lucky enough to see a Virginia snowfall, throw on some layers and head on outside! A blanket of snow and a sled can turn any adult into a kid again. Winters in Autumn are more mild than the northeast so you can enjoy the beauty and fun of winter without feeling overwhelmed.

It’s time to thaw out and open those windows! The flowers are starting to bloom with reds, whites, and yellows changing the landscape. Grab a blanket, a basket of goodies, a bottle of your best wine, and find the nearest garden or large oak tree to enjoy a real Virginia picnic. Arbor Day is big here in Autumn – we love our trees. Let the cool wind carry you through our great city ’cause Spring has arrived!

Summer

We have plenty of ways to stay cool during the warmer months. Whether you’re enjoying a cup of lemonade, listening to one of the many bluegrass bands, or taking a sip of wine at a winery with that delicious piece of cheese, you have every reason to get out an enjoy the sunshine! Did we mention the food yet? What’s better than some country bbq with some friends, music, and a cold beer?
